Commissioned by the Wind Tunnel Project, a six week installation on the site of the old Royal Aircraft Establishment in Farnborough.
The installation depicts the outline of a Miles M.52, an experimental jet plane developed in secret to break the sound barrier at Farnborough in the 1940. It is shown as if distorted by the characteristic pansharpening effect of satellite photography, as if viewed, in flight, from space.
