The Tour du Valat's database of flamingo sightings contains over 600,000 individual sightings: encounters between researchers and birds in the wild, reduced to data. "Catch and Release" dramatises these lines of data as individual stories, erasing each line from the work's database as it goes. Each story is accompanied by 'rorsched' satellite images of its locations, a technique Bridle uses to make everyday, often surveillant, images into sources of beauty and wonder once again.
